I'm on a Boat
My assistant, Kim, invited us over to go swimming with her kiddos the other day. Isaac got to try out his boat for the first time. He had a great time. Kim's daughter and niece loved floating around with Isaac. Naturally, he took the opportunity to flirt with the girls while floating.
Fruit Popsicles
There's nothing better than a popsicle on a super hot day! I was enjoying a frozen fruit popsicle the other day and Isaac couldn't help himself. After just one lick, he was hooked! (Not to mention he's teething and I think the cold felt good on his gums.)
A New Trick in the Crib
About a week ago I walked in to get Isaac and found him patting on the side of his crib. He now thinks it's a funny game. Time to lower the crib again!
PS He sure makes it difficult to be annoyed when he wakes up before sunrise.

Door Stops are Scary
Isaac found the door stop. Once he figured out what kind of noise it made, it scared him and he quickly crawled away. He hasn't been back since.
Father's Day
Dan got a two day Father's Day celebration. We went to lunch with my brother, Lindsey, Bella and Mom on Saturday. Then Sunday we went to Columbus to celebrate with Dan's family. We were going to get a picture of Dan and Isaac together, but not everyone was cooperating. This is the only picture we got of Dan and Isaac is with Grampy, too. Three generations of Auds.
Best Buds
Isaac sure LOVES Mac!! He spends most of his day chasing him and climbing on him. Thankfully Mac is very patient. I think he likes the attention.
Ear Infection
The Great Bumbo Escape
So, it's been about a month since this actually took place, but since we've been busy having fun I haven't had time to post...

I was working in the kitchen while Dan was doing things around the house, so we sat Isaac in his Bumbo to play with Fridge DJ. Dan turned around to say something to me and this is what he saw.
Isaac had managed to somehow escape from the Bumbo! We're not sure how he did it, but Bumbo has now been retired. He likes to be a part of the action to much to sit and play by himself.

First Trip to Lucas Oil Stadium
Saturday afternoon the Colts had a free practice at Lucas Oil Stadium. Dan and I decided that we would take advantage of the price and take Isaac to watch the Colts for the first time at LOS. He absolutely loved watching the HUGE fans, flirting with the girls and cheering for practice drills.
Drums or Lead Singer?
Saturday morning while Mommy and Daddy were picking up the house, Isaac was watching Imagination Movers and playing his drum...or was he singing along? You be the judge.

There really are pictures
So, I promise that we really do take pictures of Isaac. The problem is that Dan downloads them on his work computer and not the family laptop (it is too full for any more pictures--need to get another external hard drive). With only 3 more weeks of school for me and the busiest time of the year, Dan working until 8:00 each night and keeping up with the demands of our 8 month old cutie, pictures of have not been taken from Dan's computer. When summer hits in 3 more weeks, I promise I will get a chance to update something.
A few facts to look forward to... Isaac loves to laugh at Dan and his QB cadance (video to come), he's working on his first tooth (finally!) and rockin' back and forth on his knees (won't be long until he crawls).

Easter Eggs
Okay, so it's a little late, but better late than never, right? Isaac helped decorate Easter eggs this year, until he spilled the pink everywhere. Then he got to watch.
Isaac was excited to get started.
He needed to test the eggs before they got dyed.
Here he is seconds before the big spill. We we were working together on the orange. It's the right hand in the back that snuck in and pulled it over! I guess he's not a fan of pink.

Fun with Daddy
Monday night I needed to go to a school board meeting, so Isaac and Dan got to spend some quality time together. While I was gone, I got a text that read, "I just gave Isaac his first faux hawk!!! It's the greatest thing ever!!!!". The conversation continued, "With product?" "Of course! But I am washing it out now!!" Of course, they had a photo shoot to document!
He Loves To Eat
Over the last month or so, Isaac has begun eating various fruits and veggies. I have taken on the task of making his baby food. It is much easier that I thought (and cost effective)! So far, the only thing that Isaac has not enjoyed at first is bananas. I think we'll get there.
He's always cautious with the first bite.

A Month in Review
Okay, so I know it's been awhile since we've last posted, but we have also had a long list of things that have kept us busy. I am going to attempt to sum up the last month in one big post and then add a few extras here and there....
So, I started back to school January 4. That week we found out that Dan's grandma has stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to her liver and she had to have surgery to remove the mass to make her more comfortable as she enjoys the time she has left with her family. So, on the 8th, Isaac made his 2nd road trip to Missouri to visit Mem in the hospital. It also happened to be my birthday and Dan's dad's birthday. We went to dinner and had a cake while we were there, but I'm told that Dan will be taking me for my birthday soon, so I'll just wait to get my birthday presents.
While we were in the hotel, Isaac became very congested and it turned into his first ear infection. Being the super mom that I am, knew that I should call the doctor on Monday, but waited until our 4 month wellness visit on Tuesday. (don't pass judgement). Luckily it was just the start and we got some antibiotics to help kick it!
Speaking of 4 month appointment...Isaac is now a hefty 15 1/2 pounds and 24 3/4 inches long. (And I'm sure that's changed in the last few weeks) I knew he was beginning to put on the pounds. Besides his ear infection, he was very healthy and doing well. The doctor gave us the all clear to start cereal. He does not like either rice or oatmeal. We continue to try, but he just puts it in his mouth for a few seconds, stares at you and then spits it out. We'll keep trying, but if he doesn't try these solids soon, he's going to eat us out of house at home.
Other things our little man has done in the last few weeks include laughing, drooling, talking to anyone or anything he sees (definitely takes after his daddy), drooling, rolling from belly to back, sucking on his fist/thumb, (did I mention drooling?) and sitting up with a little help. We think he is beginning Isaac is really deciding which toys he likes best and will stick out his pouty lip if you take them away before he is ready to be done playing. He's a busy little man and when he's had enough and ready for a nap, he will let you know! But when he wakes up, he begins to talk and tell you that he is ready to get up...not really a crier when he wakes up.
Also that week I had parent-teacher conferences, my mom's birthday and the Colts AFC South Championship Game. This last week has consisted of more craziness, more Colts Championship Game wins and lots of fun! I can't believe that this month is almost over already!
Well, I think that about sums up this month in a nut shell. Stay tuned for some pictures to go along with the saga.
